अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (IMF) ने कहा है कि 2023 में वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था के 3 प्रतिशत से कम बढ़ने का अनुमान है, भारत और चीन के वर्ष के दौरान वैश्विक विकास का आधा हिस्सा होने की उम्मीद है।
आईएमएफ के अनुसार, वैश्विक विकास अगले पांच वर्षों में लगभग 3 प्रतिशत रहने की उम्मीद है – 1990 के बाद से इसका सबसे कम मध्यम अवधि का विकास पूर्वानुमान, और पिछले दो दशकों से 3.8 प्रतिशत के औसत से काफी नीचे है।
आईएमएफ प्रमुख क्रिस्टालिना जॉर्जीवा ने विशेष रूप से कहा कि एशिया एक उज्ज्वल स्थान पर है।
“कुछ गति उभरती हुई अर्थव्यवस्थाओं से आती है-एशिया विशेष रूप से एक उज्ज्वल स्थान है। आईएमएफ प्रमुख क्रिस्टालिना जॉर्जीवा ने गुरुवार (स्थानीय समय) पर कहा, भारत और चीन को 2023 में वैश्विक विकास का आधा हिस्सा होने की उम्मीद है।
इस वर्ष आर्थिक मंदी जारी रही क्योंकि कई अर्थशास्त्रियों और एजेंसियों ने पहले विभिन्न उन्नत अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में गिरावट का अनुमान लगाया था।
आईएमएफ प्रमुख ने कहा, “आश्चर्यजनक रूप से लचीले श्रम बाजारों और अधिकांश उन्नत अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में उपभोक्ता खर्च और चीन के फिर से खुलने से उत्थान के बावजूद, हम विश्व अर्थव्यवस्था के 2023 में 3 प्रतिशत से कम बढ़ने की उम्मीद करते हैं।”
आईएमएफ अगले सप्ताह अपना विश्व आर्थिक आउटलुक जारी करेगा।
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि मौजूदा उच्च ब्याज दरों के कारण अमेरिका और यूरोजोन में आर्थिक गतिविधियां धीमी हो रही हैं, जिससे मांग पर दबाव पड़ रहा है।
उन्होंने भविष्यवाणी की, “लगभग 90 प्रतिशत उन्नत अर्थव्यवस्थाओं को इस वर्ष अपनी विकास दर में गिरावट देखने का अनुमान है।”
“कम आय वाले देशों के लिए, उच्च उधारी लागत उनके निर्यात की कमजोर मांग के समय आती है। और हम देखते हैं कि उनकी प्रति व्यक्ति आय वृद्धि उभरती हुई अर्थव्यवस्थाओं से कम है। यह एक गंभीर झटका है, जिससे कम आय वाले देशों के लिए इसे झेलना और भी मुश्किल हो जाता है।”
उस पृष्ठभूमि के खिलाफ, उन्होंने वैश्विक विकास की संभावनाओं को उज्ज्वल करने के लिए तीन प्राथमिकताओं पर जोर दिया। उन्हें मुद्रास्फीति के खिलाफ लड़ना है और वित्तीय स्थिरता की रक्षा करनी है; मध्यम अवधि के विकास की संभावनाओं में सुधार, और वैश्विक असमानताओं को कम करना
